Ms. Gartside 2020 Lindback Award Winner

Ms. Gartside believes that her students can achieve their goals and that has a significant impact on their learning and progress. Her positive attitude and enthusiasm creates high levels of engagement and motivation in her students. She believes in them when they might not believe in themselves. Her warm and supportive classroom environment allows students to feel comfortable to participate in class discussions. She provides a range of learning activities and gives students’ choice because she knows that if low achievers can become more engaged, their achievement will increase. Ms. Gartside’s students are aware of her high expectations and want to meet them because under her guidance they feel good about themselves.
